Nippers Restaurant and Bar at Great Guano Cay

No trip to the Abacos is complete without having a drink at the world famous Nippers bar on Great Guano Cay. We’ll gather at the Jib Room at 5:00 pm and migrate as a group over to Great Guano aboard several boats. The trip is approximately 8 miles by boat. The boats will return around 8:00 PM.

Cost of drinks and food at Nippers are not included in the event fee.

Thursday, April 3, 11:00 AM – The Irregular Crew Swap Race
Marsh Harbor – Starting location TBD

This race from Marsh Harbor to Hope Town is all about fun and challenge. The distance between ports is only about 6 miles, but don’t count on taking the direct route! If you want to make the race interesting, you’ll participate in the Great Crew Swap and gain extra racing points for your trouble. The Crew Swap is optional, but once in, you’re in for the race. Swappers will put their boat name in the hat and then you’ll draw for your crew. No trading allowed!

Thursday, April 3, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM – Pot Luck Dinner
Hope Town Marina

Bring a dish to share with your friends. BYOB or you may purchase sodas & drinks at the pool bar. We have also arranged for the group to have full access to the pool area to cool down and enjoy a wonderful Abacos sunset.

Friday, April 4, 9:30 AM – Skippers Meeting – The Irregular Manta Migration Cup Race

Friday, April 4, 11:00 AM – The Irregular Manta Migration Cup Race
Hope Town – Starting Location TBD

Today we’ll race from Hope Town to Littler Harbor, a distance of approximately 13 miles. There are a few shallow spots along the way, so it will help to have some navigation and strategy skills. Don’t worry, the race committee won’t let you get in trouble (or not too much trouble anyway!). If you’re a serious racer, we’re really sorry for you. Come have fun with us, just the same.

Friday, April 4, Free Evening in Little Harbor
Pete’s Pub, Little Harbor

Friday Night in Little Harbor is a local party night at Pete’s Pub and feel free to kick off your shoes and enjoy a great time with the locals. Music, food, booze await you – but drink the Famous Pete’s Pub Blaster at your own risk!

 Saturday, April 5, 10:00 AM – Skipper’s Meeting
Pete’s Pub Beach, Little Harbor

This is the planning meeting for the Blind Dinghy race. You’ll want to pay particular attention to the race rules – or you could end up in the Atlantic Ocean!

If you think you know what this race is all about, think again! This may just be the most fun you’ll have with your clothes on!

Saturday, April 15, 3:00 PM – Foundry Tour
Pete’s Pub Foundry

This will be a special private tour of the famous Pete’s Pub foundry. Pete and his crew are true artists and their methods of casting are almost extinct today. You’ll love this unique opportunity.
