Manta Migration 2014 – Day 1

If you were cruising in the Bahamas this week and just happened to sail in to Marsh Harbour in the Abacos, you would be surprised/impressed/miffed (pick your adjective) to find the harbor overrun by Manta Catamarans!

jibroomThe 5th Manta Migration was kicked off last night (4/1 – and that’s not a joke) at the Jib Room in Marsh Harbour with 13 boats and 46 people in attendance! Bilge Burners were the drink of the night and there was plenty of fantastic food to go around as well. The conversation was lively and at times a bit salty, and everyone had a great time getting to know each other.jibroom2

Thursday (4/2) will include a rigging seminar hosted by Pat Reischmann and a trip to Nippers to view the atlantic shores and take in some of the local flavor and colour. I’ll provide more details as the week progresses, but in the meantime, know that we’ll be hoisting a drink in your honor over the next few days!

The boats that are here are:

Double Wide
Side by Side
Cerca Trova
Now & Zen
It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere
New Moon II
True Colors
Conscious Sedation
Happy Times

Registered, but MIA are:

Sea Miles
